About MeMy name is Thomas Amos. I'm a full-time public-school history teacher and part-time cartoonist. This website is a way to help me get a little more organized on the cartoonist side. It's a bit of an experiment, but I hope to figure out where it's going as I produce more content. My ultimate goal to illustrate doctrinal and devotional content in a way that is easy to understand and remember. My wife, Christina, is also a cartoonist. You should check out her amazing family life comic, Low Expectations. Her consistency is a source of inspiration for this website. ToolsWhile I'm most comfortable with traditional media, I'm slowing transitioning over to digital, primarily for the speed benefits and ability to iterate easily. I sketch with Prismsacolor colored pencils, ink with a Copic Gasenfude brush pen, and color with a combination of Windsor-Newton watercolors, Copic markers, colored pencils, and a collection of white pens. My digital setup is an XP-Pen Artist16 Pro and a combination of Clip Studio, Sketchbook Pro, and Paint.net. I recently was given a 10.2 iPad and, along with Procreate, and it has quickly become my go-to digital drawing platform.
